CIPS Certification Program

Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) hosts classes for the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply program at the KISM Professional Training Center, 9th floor, Nation Centre, Kimathi street on part-time basis. Intakes are in January and July every year. Classes take place Monday to Saturday.
CIPS is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the procurement and supply profession. MCIPS is the recognized global standard for procurement. CIPS is the voice of the procurement and supply profession; with a global community of over 200,000 people in over 150 countries. It has several levels of awards namely;

  • Level 2 – Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations;
  • Level 3 – Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations;
  • Level 4 – Diploma in Procurement and Supply;
  • Level 5 – Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply;
  • Level 6 – Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply;

It’s Global Standard in Procurement and Supply is the benchmark for skills and competencies in the profession. It is the awarding body Regulated by Ofqual in England and other regulators globally for procurement and supply management qualifications.

CIPS Entry Requirements:

  • High school certification is required for entry into the certificate level.
  • Entry into Diploma requires an advanced certificate, other relevant reputable qualification or University degree or 2yrs working experience.
  • Exemptions are issued on application to, and at the discretion of the CIPS-UK.

Registration as a student member is required for eligibility to sit for the CIPS exams by paying £100. See: https://www.cips.org/membership/join-online/
CIPS Membership & Examination fees payment can be made directly to CIPS via their website: www.cips.org
Examinations are held at CIPS accredited exam centers. The examinations are computer based and are made up of either Objective Response (OR) {multiple choice} or Constructive Response (CR) {essay} Exam format.
