Institute Sets up Regional Chapters
The Institute has established nine regional chapters. They are Coast, Nyanza, South Nyanza, Upper Eastern, Lower Eastern,
Central, South Rift Valley, North Rift Valley, Western, and North Eastern.
They will be virtual devolved units of the Institute and will help drive practise matters, welfare issues and member
participation in the regions.
They will also be responsible for improving the standard of Supply Chain practitioners and facilitate their advancement
of knowledge in matters of practise and emerging issues.
Authorities say that the chapters will also assist the public in matters that are incidental to the Supply Chain Management
through its programmes and by working with both the government and non-governmental institutions.
Consequently, regional taskforce members have been appointed and setting up the Chapters which are tasked with driving the
Council agenda in the regions.
