Firms seeking accreditation to provide CPD programmes must comply with the following requirements:
- Eligibility Requirements for Accreditation:A member must:
- Be registered with KISM.
- Hold a valid practising licence.
- Be registered as a trainer under the Industrial Training Act(Cap. 237).
- Have a professional indemnity cover of at least Ksh. 5 million.
- Payment of Ksh. 500,000 accreditation fee
- Application Process:
- Applications are submitted to the CEO by July 30 each year using Form CPD 1(found in the First Schedule).
- Accompanied by documents proving registration, licensing, trainer status, professional indemnity cover, a description of programme topics, and the mode of delivery.
- Council’s Role in Accreditation:
- The Council has 21 days to review applications and confirm that programme topics are relevant to supply chain management.
- Successful applicants receive accreditation certificates within seven days of decision and payment of fees specified in the Second Schedule.
- Accredited providers are listed on KISM’s website.
